The Swiss Tech Convention Center (French: ''Centre de conférences de l'École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne'') is a conference centre at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.〔(The Swiss Tech Convention Center ), conventioncenter.epfl.ch (page visited on 3 October 2014).〕 The biggest auditorium has a capacity of 3000 seats. The centre is located directly at the "EPFL" station of the Lausanne Metro Line 1. == Building == Designed by the architectural firm (Richter Dahl Rocha & Associés ) of Lausanne, the building was financed by two Credit Suisse real estate funds. Financial support from the Swiss electricity supply company (Romande Energie ) allowed the west facade of the building to be covered with panels made of organic dye-sensitized solar cell, also called “Grätzel cells” after Michael Grätzel, a physical chemistry professor at EPFL and the inventor of this technology.〔(The SwissTech Convention Center, a lab for conferences of the future ), News release 03.04.14 (page visited on 3 October 2014).〕
